DAYS GONE BY

There were days spend together,
With friends and foe,
Sharing the glass of water,
Enmity in mind we had never,
Our eyes filled with dreams,
Of a beautiful future,
Waiting for the days,
Times when will grow up,
To be among the best citizens ever,
We had hopes but no violence,
Passing days without tension,
Enjoying every moment in happiness.

Now when I look back,
It seems I should run,
Run back to catch those days,
The peaceful days, free from dirt,
Free from politics and violence,
Free from being greedy,
Never taking pains in life,
Today we youths have nothing,
All that's on this earth,
Is valued with price,
And that is right which is nice,
With love standing by road side.

Have we really thought where we are,
Neither or land nor on air,
We are just nowhere,
Doing all that which selfish people want,
To achieve their political berth,
The age when we should hold roses,
We're holding guns at our loved ones,
No one understands anything,
Everyone considers money the greatest thing,
Feelings are nowhere seen,
Dreams and hopes are buried within
Forever, never to be felt or seen.

What will we win,
Bundles of notes by providing militants with votes,
Has our conscious gone dead?
That for money we have gone mad.
We, who can cherish love,
Are spreading fear and hatred,
Can't we unite together ?
Fight for a better world,
Free from violence and politics,
Spreading love, being romantic,
Can't we bring back,
Those beautiful days that have gone by?
