Jan's Poetic Collection (A-Z)

MY LAST HOPE

I saw you first, years ago,
I heard of you from many a person too,
But I could know you,
Just yesterday though.

I won't say you're the greatest beauty,
But I know your heart isn't dirty,
Within you I've discovered,
A good friend Soul.

Complains will obviously be made,
Yet I think you can be my dearest mate,
On your shoulder I want to lie,
So that, when there's sorrow I can cry.

The world has let me down,
and I was going to drown,
You've given my life a hope,
As you're the last thread of my life's rope.

Can you give me love?
Running after which I've been bluffed,
I'm just a shimmering light,
Can you make me; Sun like bright?
