The other day I read about how Toyota makes an average 45K per car sold in India. This led me to think what are most expensive things that we buy. Not by cost but by its Necessity:
Education, Health & Insurance. All the three are basic necessities and sold as a Luxury in India.
The FEAR of what will happen to the family if we die makes us buy Insurance.
The FEAR of our kids not getting the best education makes us shell out Lacs of Rupees on Education (mostly free in many countries)
The FEAR of not getting the best treatment makes us spend Huge amount of money in those Luxury Hospitals, which any day is costlier than 7* Hotels. The Irony? COVID killed a lot of Hotels but helped every hospital flourish.
